The Island Spirit is our largest fishing vessel, and guests will fish from a 65 feet long spacious which can accommodate up to 70 people, but we limit the capacity at any time to only 35 guests to make sure everyone is comfortable and has plenty of room to relax and fish. The Island Spirit contains a particularly large galley in which we prepare food for passengers. You’ll find the entire facility to be very clean with ample seating and all the amenities needed to make your adventure comfortable and fun

Fun Surface Fishing
We had a fun day and had a shot at everything. Unfortunately, we lost a few Seabass early on, but we got some steady surface action on Calico Bass, Bonito, and Barracuda! We had 16 anglers today on our charter and got 40 Calico Bass, 1 Halibut, 20 Barracuda (released), 41 Calico Bass (released), 6 Barracuda, 2 Yellowtail, and 10 Bonito! 2019 Season!
What an amazing start to the season! We got rockfish limits for all 35 anglers by 11:30a.m! We finished a fun filled day and reeled in 350 Rockfish and 1 Whitefish. Greg Ewart & Sonny Haendiges run full day trips from 5am to 5pm, 4am to 4pm & private charters. The boat’s technical specifications include two upgraded Cummins engines (tier 2), side scanning sonar, and 500 gallon fuel capacity. The captain and crew work very hard to give every traveler the best possible experience, and being well equipped allows them to seek out the best fishing locations in the ever-changing ocean environment. We try to maximize activity at all times, and during our travels it’s common to see a variety of marine life and impressive views of the Channel Islands National Park and the California Coast.
